In front of --- in Nanjing lies the Mausoleum of Dr Sun Yat Sen who was a great revolutionary of the Chinese Democratic Revolution. It was built in 1925 (i.e., the 14th year of the Republic of China). It is noted for its solemnity, elegance and magnificence. Following the slope up, there are gateways, boulevards, memorial archways, monumental pavilion, memorial hall, and coffin chamber. This is a palace-like building with characteristic Chinese tradition.
