Point Danger

Next morning the first in our itinerary is Point Danger. What is there and why its named? Located at the southern end of the Gold Coast (read wiki). Sailors encountered danger when they sailed around the area of Point Danger due to many reefs here. Hence named Point Danger.

a.k.a Captain Cook Memorial Light (read wiki)

The lighthouse was constructed in 1971 to commemorate the bicentennial of Captain Cook voyage along the east coast of Australia (in 1770).
