The Ambleside Tourist Information Centre sits within “The Crux of Ambleside” premises, which are situated literally right in the centre of the town adjacent to the roman cross (or Crux). The business represents the community hub of the town and also contains a Post Office & gift shop. The business is staffed by a number of experienced and friendly local residents who pride themselves on really knowing the area well and are very happy to offer suggestions for what to do and experience in terms of sight seeing, activities, events, attractions and also where to eat, drink and stay based on any visitors preferences.
