Turbe of Rustem Pasha

Sebuah lagi pusara yang ada juga berdekatan adalah Turbe of Rustem Pasha.

Rustem Pasha is rumored to born in Sarajevi in 100s. No certain information exists on RP acceptance to the palace. The sources indicate that he had been educated at the Private Chamber and the became rikab agha (the servant of the Sultan in responsible of holding his horse's stirrup leather as well as cleaning of saddle set).

He later served as a governor-general of certain provinces. During his service he has become groom to the palace by getting married to Mihrimah Sultan, daughter of Kanuni Suleyman and Hurrem Sultan. Rustem Pasha was an effective stateman of his time. He was charged with significant missions such as the Grand Vizier twice. 

He died in 1561 after he had joined many campaigns with the emperor. He was buried at his turbe placed in the Shahzadeh Complex built by Mimar Sinan.
