Turbe of Ibrahim Pasha
Born in Bosnia, Ibrahim Pasha was selected for Enderun (interior service of the imperial court) and has been trained there.He was one of the Grand Viziers of the Sultan Murad III period and has served as the Grand Vizier for three times. He was called 'damad' (son-in-law) after he had got married to Aye Sultan, the daughter of Sultan Murad III. He has become Captain of the Sea in 1587.
In 1600, Pasha who took place at the conquest of Kanje Castle received a "hatt'i humayun", a written order by the Ottoman Sultan. The order which declared him to keep the title of GV as long as he survived. Ibrahim Pasha founded a caravenserai, an imaret (public soup kitchen), a hostelry and a fountain at Tatarpazarcigi.
His body was buried at the ShazadahMosque grave yard following his death at Belgrade in 1601. Aye Sultan, who was Ibrahim Pasha's wife, had Dalgic Ahmed Cavus, the head of architect built a turbe for Ibrahim Pasha in 1603. At the turbe, Ibrahim Pasha, his son and his daughter were buried.
