G-Link Tram Service
Gold Coast has a very good public transport system. Gold Coast City tram is the most recent addition to its fleet of public transports. Actually it was started operation quite recent - July 20, 2014 (read here).

- G:Link operates 14 trams, each with a capacity of 309 passengers; 80 seated and 229 standing.
- The 13-kilometre route has 16 stations located around the city's key landmarks. Stations have real-time journey information and ticket machines.
- The service runs from 5:00am until midnight during the week and overnight on weekends. It varies in frequency from every 7 minutes during peak-time to every 15 minutes off-peak.
- The trams can travel up to 70km/h. Their average speed is 23km/h.
- The trams are powered by electricity taken from overhead lin
- The 43-metre-long trams are wheelchair accessible and have space for prams and surf boards.
