How Lotte got its name

Why its name Lotte?

naming his company after the beautiful young Charlotte in Goethe’s The Sorrows of Young Werther. Just as Charlotte cared for her siblings following the death of their mother, Shin cared for children at a time many had lost their mothers, too.

Archery Sign Yeongdo

Copied from other source - koreatimes;

Taejongdae is a cliff formed from volcanic ashes.

It was given its name because historical records show that King Taejong Muyeol of Silla Kingdom (57 B.C. - 935 A.D.) frequently visited the cliff to practice archery.

So archery became icon and a sign structure has been put up as tourist signature.
